Initially a part-time venture, Danielle quickly moved into full-time work as the head of Liberated Development. The transition from occasional consulting to establishing Liberated Development as a formal business was propelled by witnessing the transformative impact of creating spaces where leaders could explore and embrace their innate leadership capabilities.

Today, Liberated Development stands out for its unapologetic commitment to questioning the status quo. Danielle maintains the remote-first work life alongside seven co-facilitators, coaches, and advisors who support Liberated Development across various client engagements. Danielle only services about five to seven clients at any time to ensure deep, meaningful engagement and long-term results. In addition, Danielle offers one-on-one coaching to a few individuals. This approach maintains Danielle’s quest for autonomy and a balanced life, shaping a business model emphasizing depth, creativity, and well-being.

A proud Chicago native, Danielle’s career has spanned over two decades in the education and nonprofit sectors and involved a personal struggle of feeling stifled by conventional leadership definitions. Informed by her experience, Danielle’s motivation for founding Liberated Development was fueled by a desire to redefine leadership for emerging leaders, particularly those of color, who often find themselves constrained by traditional paradigms. 

Outside of her professional life, Danielle is an active aunt and godmother. She shares her home with her dog, Stony, whose name pays homage to a street on the south side of Chicago. She is a regular yoga practitioner, loves running, and enjoys writing to stay balanced and grounded.
